the actor who played the Prince Regent, Julian Fellowes, also played the officer in the very first episode who walked in on Sharpe and Harper brawling and threatened to have Harper shot

I had a Samoan drill sergeant from LA who talked like a crip and a 5’5 sapper white guy from Detroit. Shit was hilarious

Hey Joe, was wondering if you and the team would ever try to tackle the events that happened in Burundi from the 1960s - late 80s. Fell down a wiki rabbit hole and it seems like a cluster (you might need animal facts)

Oh, and it involved 1 Idi Amin helicopter

Timothée Chalamet isn’t French. Timothée Chalamet, like Stefani Germanotta, is from the Upper West Side. (Well, technically from Hell’s Kitchen.) His father is French, though, so I guess that makes him French? But as for his name, imagine it’s a neighborhood in New York City, and mispronounce it accordingly.

This episode reminded me that there are compilations on YouTube of Sharpe saying “bastards”.

I hate to say it Joe, but I know too much about Downton Abbey and its definitely not all about people fucking. It's honestly a mostly PG-13 show about rich people doing pretty boring things and their staff of servants working insane hours for the "dignity of the house."

I thought Downton Abbey was mainly about rich people dying of stupid and preventable causes. And then the sex appeal is mostly just the actors. There isn’t any “sexposition” like in Game of Thrones. IIRC the only characters actually portrayed as having meaningful sex appeal are the Turkish aristocrat (who dies of sudden aristocratic death syndrome) and the Communist chauffeur.

I like to point out the actress who plays Jane Gibbons, Abigail Cruttenden, is Sean Bean's ex-wife.

I didn’t choose the Royal Navy life. The Royal Navy life Shanghaied me and I can’t leave this godforsaken boat.

A bonus episode that barely talks about Sharpe? Now that's zoo crewing.
