Vote for October's game! (mediocre Fall joke included)
Voting is back! Now that spooky season is here, I've prepared a list of fall and halloween-themed girly games for you to pick from. We are continuing the trend from August and setting up a ranked-choice vote, which means you can choose your top three games! (and as always, a fun bonus question at the end)
What exactly are the games pitches this month? Here's what I came up with:
🦇 Little Bat Boutique - bats are busy making dresses for all the goth girlies in town! This is a spooky-cute arcade style game. Use catapult-like controls to launch colors and accessories onto a blank dress, and try to match it to the example within the time limit to get the high score.
🧶 Sweatermaker DELUXE - this sequel to last year's Sweatermaker will allow players to knit whatever your heart desires - sweaters, hats, socks, gloves, the sky's the limit! This expanded game will include more colors, introduce stitch types, and be made mobile compatible, like all my recent games.
🧛♀️My Immortal Closet : A My Immortal Dress Up. Inspired by the legendarily bad and hauntingly mysterious Harry Potter fanfiction - I will read the entirety of my immortal and painstakingly take note of and recreate every outfit described in the story as a dress-up game.
🍰 All the cakes in the patisserie are possessed and I must eat them to save the town! I shit you not, this game came to me in a dream, so yeah its kind of deranged but I think the underlying system is very solid. Your local town's patisserie sweets have come to life and are about to invade the town. you, the town food blogger must eat all the delicious halloween-themed cakes, pops, cookies, and creations using tactile tap arcade-style controls. Eat as many haunted sweets as you can and try to get the highest score!
🧺Fairy of the Farmer's Market - Since the runner up for August's vote was a Tropical Fairy Adventure, I want to include a fairy game, but more suitable for the fall. You play as a spirit of the local farmer's market, and can fly to the each of the stalls to pick up an ingredient and build a picnic basket. Based on what basket you create, you will get to share a meal with different mystery characters, who will tell you a little funny story about themselves.
The final idea is this fall-themed joke, which I am proud to say I wrote mysefl!
Q: Is this pumpkin spice latte made with artificial flavors?
A: Yes, and it doesn't taste very gourd.

I actually debated making a weaving game, because the underlying code is very similar to sweatermaker's. oooh, tempting!

These are all fun!! I fear digging through My Immortal for the outfits would take as long as making the game itself… you are a brave person. That being said I’m gunning for Fairies just like last time! But all of these seem fun

All of these game ideas are amazing!!! It was really difficult picking my favourite...
If My Immortal wins: it would be fun to have a dialogue bubble pop up with a cringe quote when an outfit is complete lol I've never been able to fully make it through reading it, but there's a YouTuber called Just Your Average Joe that has recreated half of it with Legos. I am eagerly awaiting the last two videos.
