Video Editing, Mermaid Game Bug Fix

Hey Folks! just a quick update on what I've been working on...

I'm about halfway through editing the mermaid video, featuring 5 recently released and upcoming games + a formal introduction to Lani the Merthropologist. One of the fun things I just completed was some cute fanart for the video thumbnail - every character you see here is a mermaid protagonist from a mermaid game. Do you happen to recognize any of them?

I had a surprising amount of fun making this art! As some of you know, I come from an amusement design background, where I had to make a lot of concepts and drafts and renders to a client's specifications. I'm quite good at studying and mimicking styles, basically doing whatever a project needs. About a year ago, somebody asked me what my personal art style was...and I honestly didn't know. How embarrassing! But working on this channel and my own games, I am really reconnecting with a kind of expression that feels personal. I dunno, pretty cool!

Bug Fix for Lani The Merthropologist

What a stroke of luck! Since it was released, my mermaid game has had only one major bug: sometimes, the walls just didn't work (people could suddenly find they were able to swim to areas that were locked off and skip major portions of the game). I couldn't replicate the issue, and was worried that I would only be able to squash it after my video released and more people got their hands on the game, but thankfully, I've FOUND the problem and FIXED it!!

Someone posted in the bug report thread a very helpful clue...the walls would sometimes stop working after loading a save file. Sure enough, there was an error in the save script that deactivates the walls when you load up a game a second time. It was super easy to patch once I knew what I was looking for!
