July News!

hello everyone! hope you're having a lovely week, here in Boston we've been getting some intermittent rain, so any time the sun is out I'm trying to spend some time outside (and then usually realize its a little too hot and humid for me to enjoy long hahaha)

There are so many things to announce, starting with the winners of the July vote!

July's Game

I posted the results on instagram a couple of days ago, but forgot to reshare them here:

the winner is dog washing! Ill be making a cute game about washing dogs. Im excited to start sharing the artwork of this soon :D

...and here's the full results of the poll. As you can see, the dogs were neck and neck with trinkets! If you missed out on this vote or your choice didn't make it in, no worries - Ill be sure to recycle the most popular ideas in future polls so they get a second chance.

Mermaid Video News

In other news, I am working on the mermaid video full-time now! It should be ready in a few days. However, its looking more and more like my youtube channel will not be available by the time I finish my mermaid video...the law firm Ive been going back and forth with has only just sent a counter-notice to youtube, so we'll be waiting at least ten days to see if the harassers respond. I'll admit, this step is kind of terrifying, in the back of my mind I worry if these people will try further retribution or escalate in some other way, but I'm hoping this is the end of the nightmare. I want to reassure all my patreon and kofi monthly supporters that I will post my video here as soon as its done, so there is no delay for you to see it. There is a special surprise in this video that I'm really excited for you to see!

Live in Boston

I have a special announcement for those of you local to the Boston area: I will be guest hosting a game show! My friends over at Couch Quests asked me if I would like to host their next episode on August 13th. Basically this is a live show produced filmed at CCTV, Cambridge's public television studio. Four invited guests will be playing a series of couch co-op games in front of a live studio audience. The event is totally free for the public to attend, everyone who shows up gets free pizza and snacks and a fun time hanging out with fellow silly game lovers. I was not only allowed to select some of the games that are going to be played, but I am making and publishing a new original game specifically for this show!

Secret Bonus Game!

I have a special surprise for all of you which I have been keeping secret for a couple of months. Back in May, I made another game. I was commissioned by Andrew from Indiepocalypse to make a game for the 77th edition of his indie game anthology! Part of our agreement was that Indiepocalypse had one month exclusivity, after which I could release the game in whatever way I wished. If you are interested in buying the collection to play all 10 games by the contributing developers, I definitely recommend it, but if you are interested in just playing my game....stay tuned tomorrow! ;)

Thanks for reading folks! Are ya ready for your sign-off joke?
