A Wild Weekend! (and: suggestions needed for PAX)
Hello everyone, just writing a quick post to catch you all up on what I've been doing the final days in March. After this I'm heading to Salem to run Mini-Mini-Mini Golf for the last time this month!
Pax Fun!
A couple days ago I spent a few hours at PAX--I was invited to come as a panelist, talking about building community for the Malden Gaming District! And I just found out that there was a recording, so whenever that gets dropped I will absolutely share it with you guys.
Otherwise, I didn't get to spend too much time at PAX this year, in fact I was barely on the expo floor, so there were probably a lot of cool things I missed. But I noticed in the events schedule that there was a TRINKET SWAP!!! which is so cool! so next year I am committing to going, and I'm gonna bring a bunch of trinkets to trade, so if that is something that interests you, let's meet up and swap trinkets! Someday I also would love to host some kind of panel or event at PAX for girly games, but I don't have any good ideas at the moment. Let me know what you would like!
finally, I want to thank the three awesome folks who came up to say hi: Toni, Stephanie and one other (who left before I could ask their name ahhh sorry!!!) But it was so cool meeting y'all. Meeting someone who recognizes me from the channel irl pretty much never happens, so whenever someone does come over, it feels like such a nice surprise, and we always have great conversations. Anyway it was great meeting you guys, and thanks again for supporting my work!
The Difficult Thing That Happened in March
Some of you remember that I mentioned my productivity was dipping in February and March because there was something personal I was going through that was taking up some mind space. Happy to announce that as of yesterday, I am now officially "through" it! Obviously, just because something is over doesn't mean it won't affect you, and I'm still occasionally processing it, but it feels overall that a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I look forward to throwing myself into the upcoming projects.
The Upcoming Projects for April
Right now, I'm editing the Black Women in Girly Games Video...
Then it's onto filming and editing the Mini-Mini-Mini Golf Video...
Then It's onto making a short video letting everyone know they can VOTE for their favorite Trash Idols...
Then its programming Trash Idols While I wait for the results...
that's all for today. Talk to you guys soon, and here's your sign-off joke:
Q: Why are spiders so smart?
A: They can find anything they need on the web!

Rooting for you and getting through my email notifications late but!!! Panel ideas! I think a mashup of some previous girly game videos for a live audience is always a solid place to start from. A retrospective of this year of free games, more on community building, a deep dive on mermaid games??? It would be a treat to see any of those and whatever you've got cookin!
Glad you’re through the bulk of your challenge! I wish you the best with what gets to come now!
Glad you're on the other side, Girlie
Your so 😎😎😎😎
