Today's Housekeeping...

Today was a nice busy day! I started by dropping off mini-mini-mini golf at Stained Hourglass Escapes in Salem, which I will go pick up at the end of the weekend. The rest of the day was spent taking care of small line items I tend to postpone between projects.

First: winners of the sweater maker competition!

I took a moment to scroll through every sweater on my sweatermaker game to get a small compilation of the ones I liked the most! These fabulous creations now live on the itch.io page, and I also posted them on my instagram.

Video optimization

Now that I've been editing Videos for a long time, I have a much better idea of the style I'm going for, and made note of all the little efficiencies that make them take sooooo long to produce. ദ്ദി╥ ᴗ ╥) Today I started creating a Premiere Pro template I can always start with that includes all the music, video clips, sequences and art that I always use. Ideally, this would make my video production way faster, so I have more time to work on games! Once the template is done, I can go more in depth for you guys about how it works. Hopefully that's interesting; I get so many questions asking about my video production process!

Script Writing

Working hot on the script for black women in the girly game space, it's almost done, and I also need to finish the script for mini-mini-mini golf! I have a ton of footage and have plans to do something a little different with that video, since it is focused on the literal craft process of the project.

Taxes!

I'm doing my taxes this weekend. Normally this is a quick one-day thing for me and I always get a nice refund (one of the few benefits of being poor) but I'm also going to take some time to understand what my taxes will look like for the upcoming year, since I'm now completely patron funded and I have no idea what sort of record keeping I should do for that??? I think if I find anything interesting, I will also share that here!
