Awkward Dinner Party: That's All, Folks~

Hey folks, just wanted to drop in here and let you know that the first in-person playtest of "awkward dinner party" officially happened today! I had a blast, and I was so grateful to Pandemonium books and games for hosting, and everyone who showed up. Here's a little blurry photo of us grabbing a matcha after the game.

There is one more in-person game that I am running in early March at Sidequest Books and Games, but for the purposes of my Youtube video and publishing on itch.io, February's game is done!

So what's happening next? here's what's on my agenda tomorrow:

• I am wrapping up a small Youtube video about the sweater-making game I made in November (pictured above)

• I'm finishing the script for my "Awkward Dinner Party" video

• I'm taking a meeting with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy about April's game, "Trash Idol" to see if they have any groups willing to playtest it (eep!)

After that, my priorities are:

• film and publish the video for "Awkward Dinner Party"

• finish writing the script for my "black women in games" video

• start making mini-mini-mini golf!

While here, I'd like to apologize for not updating everyone on my activity as frequently this month--I really wanted to give daily updates like in January but there were many days where there just wasn't anything new to report. Something happened in my personal life that really threw me off my groove and prevented me from focusing fully on these projects I love, and to be completely transparent, it is going to be something I'm dealing with until the end of March. But please know that even though I am occasionally briefly interrupted by life stuff, making games for everyone is always the most important thing to me. I'm hoping to get back to daily updates in March!

Okay and to end on a high note, I was at the thrift store the other day and found TWO new joke books, and they're an absolute gold mine of silly, corny zingers.

Q: Why did you stop the car?

A: I'm giving my tires a break; don't want them to get too dizzy.
