KoD Lore Post: The World

We've teased a little information about the broader world KoD takes place in, but today we're going to reveal a lot more. Now that we've finished illustrating our plans, we're pleased to show you the world map.
This is where Sabia currently is and the area of the game so far, the camp name is Grok og Dar.

Lundar covers the majority of a large continent named Aleria. On this map, you can see its neighbors for the first time. You can see the familiar orc regions in the southeast, the minotaurs live over the mountains to the west, and the elven kingdoms lie to the east. In the south, the islands of Carchedon are home to Vehlis and the Bank of Talos. And in the north lies Lundar's most difficult ally, Erxia.
The game won't visit every location on this map (that feels too artificial), but this world will inform the ongoing plot in many ways. If you were trying to picture the political situation of Lundar and the surrounding regions, hopefully this map should give you a better idea.
There are a few groups living across the oceans, and Carchedon trades with peoples living in and beyond the great deserts to the southeast. But those lie outside the scope of the game - the heart of the story is also the heart of the map: Lundar and Sabia's family.
The next update will give Sabia her first chance to explore a little further into the world. We are also in work for adding and improving game systems we will go in details about in future updates. You can also look forward to some resolution to cliffhangers from last time...

JFC thats a big world are we going to get to see all of it?? cause that seems like a long haul not that im complaining just imaging how far this game could go is mind boggling to me
Indeed. You can look forward to learning more about the whole map over time, but visiting every single location would expand the scope too much.

That looks great. I was so excited when you said you'd be posting a full map. It does not disappoint. And a colored one too, showing all the different kingdoms? Oh, those are my favorite! :D Props to the artist. And I can't wait for those ear related cliffhanger resolutions. I so hope it will go the way I want it to.

Thank you for the maps. Now I'm looking forward to learn a little bit something about all those different nations.
This makes me a little worried that the game will lose focus and spread things too thin. One of my favorite things about Noxian nights was it's tight focus, all it really had was a small town and outlying area, a small group of main characters that are we spend time learning about as they play off each other and semi vague support cast that does no more than their job without taking focus from the characters the player becomes attached to. Kingdom of Deception has remained in a tight location that we've been learning more about so far with what only feel like one real main character that remains a bit vague since their is not other staple character (like a party member) for her to play off of and an ever expanding cast of rather detailed supporting characters, this includes Neve, Maply and Lutvrog because while they are well detailed and show up quite frequently they simply take part in individual cut scenes and dialogue mainly just with Sabia and then leave they don't experience things together or stick around after the cut scene unlike Katarina or Irelia they stuck around and gave their thoughts and the fact that they usually had opposing opinions mad it more interesting and flushed out their characters making them main as oppose to side characters. Don't get me wrong I still like Kingdom of Deception and will continue to give my support but this is just my 2 cents namely just hoping this doesn't grow out of control.
If you haven't played Sierra's game The Last Sovereign, you can see how well she handles multiple locations there. I have every bit of faith that she will deliver a solid product.
