Kingdom of Deception Amelia 0.2.5 public release!
Hey guys - here's the release for 0.2.5.
It's a short addition to round out 0.2 - it's a quick setup for the brothel stuff going forward. It includes the small brothel-sim component of the game that we've discussed in the past.
There's a short quest that leads into being able to do it, and then a couple of small events, and a 1-panel scene.
Regarding the brothel sim itself:
1) This first iteration is a proof of concept, more stuff like girls, jobs and job slots will be added in the future.
2) Feedback welcome (specially about the UI) but keep in mind we want it to be a simple yet engaging enough simulator with the decisions.
3) It will serve as a hub for many events as showcased on a smaller scale at the moment.
4) Some events will trigger depending on who's working where.
5) Mood and Service are just to attract more and better clients and will be able to be improved with better deals with the Tavern and the Market in the future.
6) We made a decision to disable job experience for now. We want some events to be tied to the girl's job level, like the Steff bartender event for this release. If players grinded too many levels now, they'd possibly miss it in the future.
And as an important note: Backup your saves for this release. We're always updating the game with save compatibility in mind, but we're not sure how much we will change the base simulator going from 0.2.5 to 0.3.0. It will likely not affect saves at all, but there is a miniscule chance that it might, so better be safe than sorry.
Going forward we'll finish off the variant vote, and then once that's done we'll adjust the patreon tiers as mentioned previously (where the variant vote will be changed to a 1panel for the brothel), and then continue with 0.3. Monsinne will try and have all the filler stuff sent to Nds by the end of the year so that Nds can work on that while Joy and Monsinne then focus on 0.3.
