Phase8 WaveShaper Instruments!

A bit of behind the scenes on the making of this one: typically, I multisample an instrument every 3 semitones across a 5 octave range. Since Phase8 only has 8 independent sound generators (the resonator and driver pair), I instinctively wanted to include them all in each instrument. However, I don't know of any multi-sampler that can sample at alternating semitone intervals. So, I swapped out the resonators on my Phase8 so that they align at equal intervals (C,D,E,F#,G#,A#,C, ignoring the F), set the multi-sampler to 2 semitones and voila! Each multi-sampled instrument now contains 7 separate samples! Not quite perfect, but pretty darn close.

So, that works great for the resonators as is, but Phase8's timbral range expands quite a bit if you start messing with its resonators and placing various objects on them, or thwacking them differently with or without an open air fader. The thing is, when you do so, it's impossible to replicate the exact timbre in every resonator. So, in these more experimental "treated" cases, each instrument only includes a single sample.

Anyway, long story short, attached are 27 instruments and multi-sampled sounds of Phase8 by Korg Berlin!
