MODX M vs MODX vs Montage M
Hi!
If you're a fan of Yamaha synths, the other, low-cost shoe has dropped! Like the original MODX, MODX M is the less expensive version of their flagship synth, Montage M.
Much has been improved, and of course, it doesn't have everything the Montage M does, but it runs the same core engine (with less polyphony), and files/projects are compatible.
Oscillators and filters are nice, but if you like layering a bunch of diverse sounds together, each with its own arp/pattern, these beasts are unbeatable.

I'm always asking myself about the price of new products, MSRP is fine. It's always a price/performance analysis and many reviews don't talk about the prices, except a lot of guitar reviewers do. It would be nice if I didn't have to stop watching and go find MSRP to get a reference point. But, shame on me for having to ask?
lol not shame on you, I wish I could include one, I would if it were correct. The problem is threefold - since most of the videos I make are pre-release, the price is often in flux until the minute I press "publish" (I get a ball park, but often it's off); and then my videos get watched years after a product offered to the public and pricing may vary. Finally my audience is global (largest viewership is in the US but even that is 33%) so I'd likely be quoting an irrelevant price for most users anyway. The angriest seem to be Australian commenters, many of whom believe any price quoted is in their dollars :/
