July 2025 book update + VCV patch example download

Dear WaveShapers,

I hope you're doing well - this month's update is here, let's get right to it! Page numbers are below and you can skip between updates by searching for the string "JUL2025":

• In case you missed it, Electric Sea's performance setup video has been getting fantastic feedback and comments, so it seems like there's consensus that it's well worth a watch! Meanwhile, I've added tips from it to the book so that everything is properly documented for future reference, starting on page 265.

• I've added a new synth trick/patch idea/VCV sample patch: using the delay stage of envelopes for gate sequencing generative joy. This is based on a lovely little patch I discovered while reviewing Orchid - you can hear it here. You can explore a demo of the concept behind the patch using the attached VCV file, but the idea is to implement it on your synth of choice, assuming it has a delay stage in the envelope and mix level for osc 2 is a mod destination, or one of the other techniques I mention in the video. There's a list of some of the other synths you can get this idea to work on in the book (Page 159)

• New MacOS MIDI effects/processing tool added (MIDIPipe) (Page 367)

• Added links to new multi-sample downloads and bonus content
