miniKORG 700Sm review + downloads
Hi!
A few years ago Korg released a modern reissue of their first commercial synth - the miniKORG 700/700S. Back then, it cost $2,000; Now, they're about to release a mini-key version that's identical, except for the mini-keys and a slightly smaller reverb tank, at a much lower price (I think it's going to be around $1,300 but don't hold me to it).
Its design is quirky and unique, as is the way it goes about things sound and user interface-wise - all the info is in the video.
In the video, I also show how the old feedback loop trick changes its sound. I've already sampled the full-size 700FS model and shared those multisamples with you here; however, I want to create a few more aggressive tones for you to try out as well :) It will take me more than a few days because of one or two other NAMM related videos - if you can't wait, here's a link to the 700FS multisamples (Maschine based).
I've also attached to this post high quality audio and video files of me playing it.
All my best,
Ziv (reviewing a mini-key re-issue of a full-size reissue on a youtube channel called "Loopop"...)
