Maschine 3 review + comparison to MPC's stem separation + outro download
Hi!
Maschine 3 is here—it's a new paid version update to Maschine 2, originally released 11 years ago (!). Of course, plenty of "dot" upgrades have been made to 2 since.
It's not a huge update, but it includes features that can save time making or performing music (MIDI edit and scene tempo), an easy way to bounce CPU heavy tracks, or as prep for transferring projects to Maschine+ (assuming it gets a v3 upgrade too), and an integration of iZotope's RX stem separation capabilities, which I compare to MPC's relatively recently announced stem separation. I do it across 4 relatively popular songs, and I'd would love to know which stem separation you think is better!
Also attached is a download of the outro, which was a fun opportunity to mess with Sun Machine One again...
All my best,
Ziv (attempting to spark an in-depth debate on which stem separation tool hits the right notes, on a youtube channel called "Loopop"...)
