microKORG 2 - production model review + live looping download

Hi!

Everyone's talking about Ableton's Move, and I've decided to take the road less traveled!

Well, I've not really decided; it's just still in the mail. So, instead of sitting at my door waiting, here's a review of the production version of microKORG 2!

Technically, not much has changed since I made a video about the prototype, but now the sound engine is final, so I can play you how the thing sounds, and I actually have a manual, so I can make sure I've covered every nuance.

As any instrument, it has pros and cons, but a refreshing change is its built in looper. Don't worry, I've not gone anti-sequencer, but for synths without extensive polyphony, a looper is a fun way to just get going, putting together multiple layers in a quick jam, as shown in the attached video. Of course, you can always connect a simple looper to you synth, though this one takes care of internal tempo sync nicely.

If you have any questions about Ableton's Move please let me know, that's coming up next!

All my best,

Ziv (living up to the channel's name by live looping on a youtube channel called "Loopop"...)
