December art mail!
UPDATE 3: Hey y'all so here it is! The art for December is done and I've just gotten print orders in as well. I'm really pleased with how it ended up as I felt I was able to capture not only the style of the SM2 cover in design but also sort of in spirit with how I applied some color fades and effects to give it that warmth and feel of an old game box. I am hoping the prints will carry that as well but who knows haha. That's part of the game for me is seeing what works in the final prints vs on the ipad and what doesn't. Anyways I hope y'all dig it and I also got the sticker art done! This was just something silly and fun I thought could be neat with the holiday coming up. Everyone loves mimics (well at least I do) so I thought what would a christmas mimic look like? Why not a gift box!
So that is all for this monthly mail post. I tend to post on socials when I am packing orders and I try and snap a picture or two of the actual prints and stickers so if your keen to see that and don't follow me anywhere yet I'm Teeketch everywhere that counts. Thanks for the amazing support as always and to all the new folks jumping in as we close out another fun year! And to the folks in the Shirt Club I will be getting the post up for the final entry of this inaugural year up soon!
UPDATE 2: Hey folks just a quick update here as I just wanted to share the finished logo art as well as the background. As I mentioned earlier I am having fun with the SM2 inspiration but wanted to bring my own bit of fun to the clouds in the sky. After this all that is left to do is get the colors down on the character and get all the remaining design elements in. Thanks!
UPDATE 1: Alright so I’ve gotten my line art done for the character and have started in on the title treatment. I think I’m going to end up drawing the whole logo even though a good chunk of it won’t be visible. But I like the idea of having it on its own in case I ever wanna re-use it for something down the road. Alright, back to it now!
Hey folks, so as mentioned in a previous post I am trying to get a little head start on the art mail for December to try and avoid any postal slow downs or delays. So I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, looking over the list of characters that hadn't gotten onto a card this year and balancing that with some other things and ultimately some of the more ambitious ideas I had I just wouldn't have time to get to before cut offs for printing. But that said I have put some pins in some things that may lead to some fun art in the new year. Anyways, on to the actual art for December!
So looking back over the year and we had a Blast Boy sticker a while back but no print. And looking at last year we actually closed the year out with a sort of game cover art print with Blast Boy on it and this got me thinking, what about Blast Boy 2? So I thought making something sort of apeing the Super Mario 2 cover but with my own sort of style twist on it could be a lot of fun. Then I realized I was going to have to redo the logo to fit the cover style for SM2 and that was not the easiest lol but I think I've got something going now. I'll be saving out images as I make my progress and try and capture it as best I can and continue to update this post. My hope is to have it all finished this week to go along with the sticker which is something pretty silly but fun that hopefully folks enjoy.
So that is it for now, I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and if you don't celebrate I hope you had a good week either way. Be good to each other.

Maybe make the logo the sticker for this month?
lol that would be fun but I try not to double up on print and sticker being the same theme too much since I know one or the other may not be for everyone. That said I finally just nabbed a printer and cutter to test out making stickers myself instead of ordering from a shop and if it works well there will be a lot more room for playing around with different stuff!
