2021 wrapped and 2022 ideas
Hey y'all so I'll be posting the December sketchbook tomorrow but today wanted to talk a bit about some ideas for next year for the patreon as well as a brief look back at 2021 because it's good to recognize the work you've done.
So firstly, 2022. Here are some of my ideas for changes/additions to the patreon that may get implemented in the new year (though with the move in January forgive me if things are a bit hectic at first haha)
End monthly streams: They’re something I often forget about unfortunately and I don’t think it adds as much value as something else that could potentially take its place.
Quarterly Art Contest: Maybe something each quarter which presents a specific theme for a character design or illustration. Could use this across the patreon and discord. Could offer a prize of some sort.
Focused tutorials: I’d like to run polls maybe quarterly and see what gets chosen and from that make a video or write up that explains the process of something voted on by patrons.
Commissions: I’d like to figure out a system where folks can use their patronage to get either one commission per X amount pledged over a lifetime or a commission at a discounted rate via patronage or something.
Screen Printed Artcard: If I can find a printer and figure this out I’d love to give it a shot.
Summary/Intro Video: I have wanted and probably needed to make one of these for almost two years now so let’s actually get it sorted. A short intro video for who I am and what the patreon is about should be fine.
These are all ideas I've had at one point or another over the course of 2021 and as I am always trying to find the best way to enhance the value of the dollar y'all choose to give me I also need to think of fun ways to get new folks on board. It's tough but I do this for fun so I want to keep trying to grow it as best I can.

Outside of just Patreon things I like to jot down some general art goals/project ideas for the next year at the end of each and I think that's important. I don't hold myself to these things to rigidly as for me it's more so a list to look at during down time between gigs or when I'm feeling like I need a little direction in what to work on at a given time. So here is what I have for 2022 in that regard.
Themed sketch zine/Artbook: I’d like to release a PDF sketchbook at some point in 2022 (free for Patrons)
Knight Light Figure: Let’s see if we can actually make this real.
Card Game: Getting a working prototype of the R, P, S fantasy card game idea up and running.
More Night Shift Stuff: Make some new merch, and explore new items.
Splat Beanie: Get back on this in the new year.
Children's Book test: Try and make my own short picture book.
Representation: Look into potential illustration representation.

Ok so that is it so far for what I'd like to try in the new year and of course if there are any other things you'd like to see or thing would be a nice addition to the patreon offerings let me know. As for 2021 I'll be brief. I think I made some pretty good work this year and the patreon was a big part of that. while a couple months were hectic because I had other gigs going the schedule of making one full illustration a month at least for the patreon was a nice respite. I could just do some silly doodling and make that into something neat for all you nice folks. I could explore characters and ideas for things freely since all the stuff made here is wholly my own. We had fun with totally random things and making them into stickers and we had fun with occasional tutorials. I hope that in the end it was enjoyable for y'al and worth the cost. I wish I could have had the annual subscriptions ready to start 2021 but unfortunately it wasn't possible. But we do have them now so if you've been signed up and know you'll be sticking around for 2022 I implore you to look into it as you can save about a month/month and a half worth of mail tier cost with it.
