Creating the Otom
Hey y'all sorry for the slow month I have a lot going on haha. That said here is a video I put together of a couple illustrations with a new style I was playing with and stuff last week. Now on to what I am up to lol.
Patreon re-vamp:
We talked about this a little in the Zaba post earlier in the month but I am actively planning and putting together a schedule and realistic output for this Patreon with what I can actually accomplish and get done month to month and what I want to do. I will be looking at reward tiers, types of posts everything. I want this to be a place where I can get nerdy in depth about art and also a place where folks who want to learn and improve can get some insight into digital work and illustration.
New projects in 2020:
This one is a little more open and less just about Patreon but will most likely generate content for this Patreon. I have a lot of projects I want to look into and work on this year that are art related in one way or another. Some are small and I can get to and move on while others are bigger/ongoing and won't really wrap up. Either way it's a lot. Some of these are
A new merch line. I had an idea to do a small merch line with t shirts, hoodies etc focused around a vibe of fashion manga. This probably sounds mental lol but it makes sense in my head. The designs will be characters and art inspired by the neat stuff I'm into and blend that art with good graphic design to make some stylish clothes for folks who like graphic t shirts and the like. Tentative title is PROTAG (like protagonist) and I'll get a post up at some point exploring it's ideas and logos and junk for folks who are into that.
Tabletop/Board Game projects. I have had a few ideas for games in this space for a while and want to try and get something together this year. I tend to think up simpler tabletop games as that's what I like. Something light on rules and big on fun that isn't a headache to learn and play. So art needs to be made as well as figuring out mechanics and logistics so we can dive into this stuff.
Childrens book illustration project. I love picture books and children's book illustration and it is definitely an avenue I think my work would fit well in and one I'd love to explore. So this year a goal is to get together a simple script (maybe 20 pages) of a story and illustrate it. This will be used to send out and put in my portfolio for potential client work. And I think it could be really fun to sort of share this process and how I get on with it all with all of you.
Youtube. So I have thought about this for a while and I think I want to put some more effort into my Youtube and the videos I make. Now I'm not a real video maker and my editing knowledge is basically zero but I love to learn and think it could be fun. And for folks who like process stuff like me that's what I want to be able to provide.
Now as Patrons all the stuff I get up to on projects you'll get behind the scenes looks and/or early access. I hope some of this sounds neat to you and you'll stick around. And even share this place once we settle a little and really get rolling. I thank you all for the continues support of my work and my mental endeavors haha.
