Monthly Art: October 2026!

UPDATE 2: I got too caught up trying to get the work done I forgot to make an update before it was finished :/ Anyways the art is done now and I will be sending it off along with September's art to be printed. The mad dash to close October continues and I keep holding on best I can haha.

UPDATE 1: A bit of progress from today. I still need to nail down the foreground/background elements I want in and then figure out my color palette but it is coming along!

Hello friends! I am here again with the early stages of this month's postcard print. This month we see the annual return of the Pumpkin King and his troupe of spirits and spectral(?) pumpkin vessels.

The rough sketch is just that, very rough haha. I have an idea in mind but not literally as I am one of those folks who just doesn't see images in my brain. So I am noodling things down and trying to find it really. I interpreted the idea of the paint brush and spirits last year with a piece and really liked it and what it sort of implied for the kind of story of the character and what this sort of folktale could maybe be about. I tend to contemplate those things a lot when I am creating whether they make it into the piece or out into the broader world itself.

Anyways I will be pushing forward on this to get the prints and things sorted as soon as possible as I can't imagine trying to mail all this stuff out as well as move house would be the most fun way to spend a weekend haha. I hope you're all excited and interested in getting some more Halloween/Autumnal vibes for the month and the art itself. Thanks again for the continued patience and support, I truly appreciate it.

Be good to yourself. Be good to each other.
