Monthly art for September!

FINAL UPDATE: ART IS DONE! What an undertaking this one was! But ultimately I learned a lot through it all and I hope you all enjoy the prints (and t shirts for shirt club members!) As mentioned in the state of the patreon post earlier I will be getting these out along with October's prints ASAP. Thanks again for your incredible patience!

UPDATE 5: Drawing is done! I am now getting color down and then will see if I can format it for postcard size while keeping a title in it or not. My hope is to not have the creatures get too small so the title may get axed for the postcards. time will tell. Anyways, I can see the light now and we are getting close to done!

UPDATE 4: Hey folks, still slowly making progress but I have the last handful sketched and some of the letters I am sort of having to make up my own monsters for which has been something. Anyways here is another batch all drawn up. My hope is I'll have it all sorted early next week so I can finally get the art out for print and then into your hands and such. Thanks again for the continued patience.

UPDATE 3: I continue to chip away at these creatures and am slowly making progress. That said I am also facing the realization that my dreams of getting this all done in time in order to have prints out before the month ends are probably not possible lol. but I assure you while it may be slightly delayed in comparison to the month's the past six years it will be done and fun! Anyways here is another batch as I round the corner in trying to wrap this up. Once I get them all drawn I will do a couple color experiments to see how I am feeling in terms of a direction for that and then it should all hopefully come together pretty quickly. Anyways I appreciate the support and patience as always.

UPDATE 2: Hello again, I have made a bit more progress from yesterday and have another 5 creatures drawn up as well as a bit of noodling on my layout. Still a ways to go but I am trying to work as fast as I can while also balancing the gigs I have on at the moment. My thanks for your patience and I hope when it's all done and the prints and shirts and things are in your hands it will have all been worth it haha.

UPDATE 1: slowly making progress and realizing this is a lot kore work than I originally imagined haha. So far I have line art for a handful as I continue to work through the list of creatures and make changes.

Hey friends, it is once again a new month and I am embarking on the ritual. This month I also will be making a t shirt in our shirt club dungeon series so I wanted to try and do something silly and fun and also different and try and incorporate art across all the things I am making in September. So what am I trying? Well I wanted to make a fun little creature/monster alphabet. As you can see I mapped out most of the letters but am absolutely open to suggestions (especially for the letters I don't have ones listed for yet lol) and I will continue to work through them all in order to get the prints, stickers and shirts all sorted by the month's end.

As you can see my list as of now here.

And my early roughs/sketches for the first entry here.

I am pulling inspirations from everywhere honestly. DnD, video games, folklore, you name it. Then I will be illustrating them all in a fun, cartoony style as I am wont to do. Think Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy but by me haha. Anyways I hope that sounds interesting and fun to you and again feel free to make any suggestions in the comments for things to add/swap onto the list or help me fill in the blank spots.

Be good to yourself. Be good to each other.
