2025 - In the books!
Hello there lovely people! I am here as per, with a little wrap up post for the year that was. Briefly before getting into the more art focused stuff here, 2025 was another year of me trying to better myself and my health (physical. Mental is, well that trains probably left the station lol) But I did this by continue to take more account of my nutrition as well as expand a bit of my physical activity which has been nice. I share meal preps for the week on my bsky occasionally and while I haven't talked too much at length about it all some folks have asked questions and things on what I do/have done and how they may also better themselves so I try and be as open as I can. I also make silly little recipe pages for some of the ones when folks ask, maybe a small cook book is in my future lol.
Ok, enough of all of that though so let's start some of the art recapping! This year brought a lot of fun postcards I think and was a nice blend of mixing in old favorite characters and ideas as well as expanding on some and making new ones! Let's take a look!
I really enjoy all of these illustrations for different reasons and think this past year was a nice mix of comfortable work as well as trying on some new stuff, nothing crazy, just to see how it fits. It was a good time and I hope to keep that same sort of mindset going into next year where I hope to expand a bit more on my ideas of blending the monthly print with some game design ideas and other things. I hope you'll all join me as we jump into this void together!
As with the monthly prints of course there is a monthly sticker, so let's see how sticky we got in 2025.
Stickers are a weird one for me because they are so fun but can also be a bit perplexing as I more often than not try and keep the sticker art related relatively to that month's print art. Ultimately I just like to go into each one trying to make something fun that folks would be happy to slap on a laptop, sketchbook or water bottle. Fun times!
I also made some shirts! The second year of the monthly shirt club got underway and I made a choice to choose a theme for the year's shirts and I think it was a great call. I will probably continue that idea into next year's SC though I will have to actually nail down a theme from the few I have circulating my brain at the moment. But I have time!
Shirt Club is probably the most fun thing I do throughout the year that is also the most stressful in regards to the patreon. I want each shirt to be fun, silly, something folks actually want to wear while also being a cool piece of art merging my loves of illustration and design. I also have consistently grappled with the shirts themselves as what do I do with them once the year wraps. I have debated adding them post year to the general shop (at a slightly higher cost than my regular shirts) but as with everything I create for the patreon, ultimately I leave the decision up to the supporters. Folks at the Shirt Club tier, if they feel that would take away from what they are getting then no, the shirts will remain in the vault once their run is done. As I said, Shirt Club is a mysterious and complex web haha. But a web I truly enjoy weaving.
Outside of the patreon I had some fun gigs, on mostly stuff I can't actually talk about lol but as some may remember the video game I worked on Piece by Piece should hopefully be out early in 2026 which is exciting. Other than that I have also really dug in and started hammering out work on my TTRPG project, So Long Space Hunter... which is sort of my Cowboy Bebop inspired game for folks who don't like a lot of rules or math and just want a pretty simple device to tell silly space stories with their friends. I have absolutely zero experience creating in this space really and while I am doing my best it is anxiety filled but also a bit exciting. I have shared a bit about it on the patreon already and will continue to do so as I keep working on it. Ultimately I would love to get it wrapped and out sometime in 2026 so we'll see how that goes.
And with that I think I have covered pretty much all I needed to for 2025. I cannot nor will I pretend to summarize just how much the support you all have shown me this past year and beyond has meant. I truly mean that. I am only still here, creating silly things because of folks like yourselves. I know times are hard and money is just getting tighter year after year so knowing that whether you are here spending your time or spending your time and your money, I have always and will always try and honor that choice and make good as best I can on that. Thank you all so much, and I hope you all have an amazing holiday and end of the year. See ya on the other side.
Be good to yourself. Be good to each other.
