Monthly Sketchbook for June 2025!

Hey y'all,

so this month's sketchbook is a bit light as I was more busy with some other things but such is the way these things go. That said I do think there are some fun things in here still so let's talk about it!

First up to start the month was this little sketch/paint of an abandoned helmet set atop a sword. I didn't really have any direction in mind here just sort of loosening up but I think it was a neat image by the end. Plus it's a little different tone for me so that's always fun to explore. Next to that is a couple ideas for new enamel pins (one of which is actually in production and should be available soon-ish?) Anyways I just have silly ideas a lot of the time so I gotta get em' out somewhere lol.

After that was this sketch of DK and Pauline as I was excited watching the Bananza Direct and doodled something up. I'm really excited for the game and can't wait to see all the fun designs and art it has to offer!

Next up is a new sketch of Mothy, the Cryptid Camp counselor. I knew I wanted to make a new shirt design for the summer and started kicking ideas around so I knew I would need a new illustration as part of it. So now we all have a new little Mothman to gander at.

After that I was in a little Knight Light head space and doodled some random stuff as well as being inspired by the recently announced FF Tactics remake and a friends amazing job art piece I thought a KL/Tactics style class piece would be a lot of fun. I really want to come back to this idea at some point and make something out of it.

Now I needed to get the sticker art for the month going so here is the initial sketch for the Happy Heepo sticker that went out with June's postcard prints. It's always fun getting to draw this weirdo.

Once that was sorted I was having lunch and wanted to sketch something one day and thought about what a sort of alternate design for Naruto could be. Trying to keep the essence of the character alive but seeing what sort of style and shapes I could push around. It was a fun experiment.

Next up was a game idea I had and was sharing with some friends and needed to get some ideas down. It is basically a group hide and seek game where everyone is a lizard and uses their camouflage to hide with limited stamina and other mechanics to balance things out. I still have a lot of other ideas in and around this thing but who knows if it'll see the light. If you're reading this and wanna make this thing, hit me up haha.
