October print art WIP

SMALL UPDATE: Just sharing the sticker art that I'll be printing up to send out with the prints.

UPDATE 4: The art is DONE! This was honestly one of the toughest pieces I've done for the patreon but I am so pleased with how it turned out. It hit all the right vibes for what I was going for and while in the end the Goat Man sadly did not make it into this piece he is still out there, wandering the lands in search of his maker, to smite him for creating such an abomination! Anyways I really like all the different elements and the logo and stuff so will get an alternate version of that I think down as the sticker to go along with the print. I also may make a fun t shirt with it and maybe some other bits to put up for a little Halloween addition to the new merch shop! Anyways I thank you all for bearing with me as I wrestled this piece to the finish line. I truly appreciate everyone here and your continued support.

UPDATE 3: I have finally gotten a few minutes to make some more progress on this month’s art, and I think I have a decent idea for getting the last character in as well. Then it’ll just be effects and the type and copy and should be good to go. Sorry it’s taking so long yall I really prefer getting these prints done and out to everyone much sooner in the month.

UPDATE 2: Another small update as I have started getting line art in and adjusting some character stuff. Still figuring out what I want to do with the other two to best serve the piece and thinking about the text and copy I want to include. But that is where I am at now as I head into the weekend. UPDATE 1: Hey y'all so things are still a bit slow going with this month's art but honestly I think this could be a really fun piece so despite my usual panic as the month starts to roll with getting the art done I am thankful for my bonkers work schedule forcing me to be slower this time. I really want to try and push and make something really fun with this so will be taking my time to make sure I can hit the style and execution as best I can. This newest rough may change a bit but I am such a sucker for the sort of collage style posters of old comics and pulp covers and classic films so I wanna try and see how my style could work with something like that.

Hey y'all so this month is nuts already and I just had more work come in so I will be really up against it to get the art sorted for this but it is something I have wanted to do forever and Halloween month is just too perfect.

Above is some initial character sketching for the Cryptid Crew (or Cryptid Corps. I can't decide) A group of weirdos who solve mysteries and battle against the forces of evil from the corners of our own reality. Comprised of characters thought to be the stuff of myth and legend they are in fact real!

I have toyed with this silly idea for years but kicking off a Venture Bros. rewatch recently has stirred that pot and I am just feeling those vibes. So figuring out the cast for this piece I wanted to try and touch some recognizable bases in fun new ways. There is Dr. Geist (Paul T. Geist), Sasquatch, The Moth Mistress and Goat Man.

I haven't landed on a lot of the stuff I'll need for the actual art like a composition, style, logo etc but I will be working to get there as I have a few ideas circling so hopefully I'll choose one and get to it ASAP.

Anyways I just wanted to give a little update on where I am at as I pray to wrap up some of this work soon for even a moments reprieve haha.
