Moving Some Gameplay Content, Work Updates, and New Mechanics in Version 0.27

Work on the update is moving forward at full speed. After going over the remaining tasks, the team and I realized that we are already starting to fall a bit outside our deadlines. So, to avoid dragging development out, we decided to cut some mechanics from version 0.27 after all. Specifically, the in-game notebook that would show the Guardians' progress in real time.

Originally, we wanted to simply leave a "Work in Progress" placeholder in the segment where Cedric receives the notebook. However, it turned out that from a code standpoint this could cause problems in future versions. Because of that, our writer is now editing that story segment and moving it to version 0.28.

Still, we do not want you to feel like the update will be lacking gameplay content because of this. So we decided to tell you a little more about the mechanics that will be included in the upcoming version. This time, we decided to focus on Susan, and she will have two new mechanics.

One of these mechanics will be built around a cycle of content, similar to what we did with Elyon and Nerissa in version 0.26. But in Susan's case, she will have a clearer schedule based on the time and day of the week. Without revealing everything right away, let us put it this way: how you behave with Susan during this week will affect how that week ends.

As for the second mechanic, that one is more complicated and more interesting. We will not reveal the details yet and will leave it as a surprise. But you can see an image attached to this post that is related to this mechanic. We have plans for this format, because if it works well and you enjoy it, we may add it to one of the patron tiers in the future. How exactly and in what format is something we will probably clarify after version 0.27 is released, once we have your feedback on how this segment plays.

Что ж, работа над обновлением идёт полным ходом. Мы с командой посчитали оставшийся объем задач и поняли, что уже немного не вписываемся в наши дедлайны. Поэтому, чтобы не затягивать разработку, мы всё же решили отказаться от части механик в версии 0.27. А именно от игрового блокнота, который показывал бы прогресс стражниц в реальном времени. Изначально мы хотели просто оставить заглушку "Work in Progress" в сегменте, где Седрик получает блокнот, но оказалось, что с точки зрения кода это может вызвать проблемы в будущих версиях. Поэтому наш сценарист сейчас редактирует тот сегмент сюжета, перенося его на версию 0.28.

Но, чтобы вы не чувствовали, что в игре из-за этого будет мало игрового контента, мы решили немного рассказать о тех механиках, что вас ждут в предстоящем обновлении. В данной версии мы решили сосредоточиться на Сьюзан, с ней будет две новые механики. Одна из механик будет построена на цикличности контента, как это было с Элион и Нериссой в версии 0.26. Только в случае со Сьюзан, у нее будет более четкое расписание, зависящее от времени и дня недели. Не раскрывая все сразу, скажем так: то, как вы поведете себя со Сьюзан в ходе этой недели, будет влиять на то, как это неделя закончится.

Что же касается второй механики, то с ней все сложнее и интереснее. Мы не будем раскрывать детали о ней, оставив это сюрпризом. Но к посту вы можете видеть прикрепленную картинку, связанную с данной механикой. У нас есть планы на данный формат, поскольку, если вдруг он хорошо себя покажет и понравится вам, мы добавим его в один из тиров для спонсоров в будущем. Как именно и в каком формате мы, пожалуй, уточним уже после выхода версии 0.27 и обратной связи от вас, касаемо того, как играется данный сегмент.
