Wednesday - Update on Content
We have not heard back from SAG-AFTRA. Ben 10 Alien Force will release as normal Thursday July 27th 2023, as it does not fall under a struck content category. As of this posting Rome is still paused and will not release tomorrow.
We only saw one question that hasn’t been answered in the last few days posts. If you have a question, please check the previous posts and the answer is likely there. If not, please comment here your question.
Questions:
If content will be paused for an extended period, could we get a poll or a list for possible temporary replacement shows / miniseries / movies to see what content we could be seeing instead?
We have selected some shows and movies to be reacted to help us fill the gap in the short term, which we will be announcing shortly. We are keeping an eye out on Discord, and these posts for suggestions for non-struck content, as well as original content ideas. If the pause becomes a stoppage, we may consider an additional way to keep audience feedback on what you want to see.
The entire team at the studio has been working so hard this week, and we have already begun filming content for the possible new schedule. It will take some time for things to be edited and fit into that schedule, so thank you for your patience as we continue to support the writers and actors on strike in any way we can.

Does Harley Quinn fall under struck shows ? Season 4 dropped and they still have to react to season 3....

If animated aren't off limits from the strike how about starting reactions to the second/third place shoes from the Ben 10/ass class replacement polls in the meantime?
I’m not sure if it’s off limits for the strike, but if it’s not a good replacement could be His Dark Materials, it’s a finished series that only has around 23 episodes over 3 seasons, so if the strike ends while watching it, it won’t be a huge interruption, also it’s just a fantastic series all around that I feel should get more attention than it did 😁

as a replacement show I would not mind seeing some Friends reactions or Home Improvement lets get some good sitcoms on here
the reason you are not hearing from SAG-AFTRA is non of you are in the guild and they are only dealing with guild matters right now. You don't fall under their umbrella hint hint

It's not. Also if you want people to watch something, you should stop calling it the best of all time. Describing things that way will almost for sure create unmet expectations and make it less enjoyable for the new viewer and for yourself

How do we know which content is considered struck content if I wanted to suggest movies or shows?
I'm pretty sure they aren't taking suggestions and will instead release a poll of movies/shows they can react to.
If you're taking suggestions here I recommend the anime Tengoku Daimakyo/Heavenly Delusion. On D+ here in the UK but I think its on Hulu for you. 13 Episodes season 1 just ended.
Seeing every other reactor I follow post their Secret Invasion reactions today made me feel for you guys. Not saying you should change your stance, but it's got to be hard watching others do it and knowing it could hurt, at least in the short-term. And I feel weird watching the other reactors....not that I have yet and I may not. Haven't decided where I'm in on all of this because ultimately I support the writers part of the strike the most as they're the ones where this started and I don't think I've seen anything about their position on any of it. Still have no idea what counts as struck content. Can't find a list anywhere.
Personally i think reaction content would be good for the protests cause it would put more pressure on the studios to get the shows back up sooner and cave to the protests as long as people are still demanding for more content, but if the protestors have specifically asked people not to then they’d probably know best
Please finish the last season of Peaky Blinders.. A BBC show would be a perfect intermediary..

Is the Criterion Collection considered struck content? Lots of interesting movies there that might otherwise never get reacted to.
Temporary shows and movies would be great cause then you can also branch into things there probably wasn't time for yet. And then once you go back to the original content you guys can keep the replacements as back ups
Depends on how long the temporary shows are. I assume they want short ones so they can hope on back to the original schedule when the strikes are over, but what if the strikes last a long time. 🤔 samurai champloo
I don't know how if or possible but primeval series is a good temporary replacement its BBC its like dr who but with dinosaurs and its 5 or 6 episodes a season. Its on hulu

I'm not sure how many, if any, legacy shows fall under non-struck content. But maybe shows like Peaky Blinders, Vinland Saga, and Vox Machina fall under that category? Might I suggest putting a priority on catching up on any legacy shows that aren't struck? Seems like now would be the perfect time to do that.
Not sure PB will qualify, since it's Netflix in the U.S. and live action (and Shane's gone). Vox Machina and RWBY seem like a good bet. Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer and Young Justice seem like a maybe, as they seem to have lost some of the crew's enthusiasm by the time they finished. Dark horse candidates for me would be Stein's Gate 0 and YuYu Hakushou, which seem to have a crew vibe of "not a question of if we'll do it, but when".
if the strikes do go on for a while, it could be a good time to bring out some more one piece reactions ;) but for real, its good to see you guys taking this whole event so seriously, even if you end up not being able to release anything for a while, i'll still be with you!
The only solution is the BW crew must re-enact all of the shows themselves and then post the reactions to their versions! Seriously, though, thanks for the daily updates, and all of them detailed. It's a difficult situation and you're handling it professionally. I work on a show here in nyc and have been out of work since May lol this sucks. But I'm not destitute so I'm glad to keep supporting you even if content has a pause. To be honest, while I totally get why it makes financial sense to cancel and resubscribe based on content as some Patrons do, and why some are irked and requesting refunds over the current situation, I've always been of the mind to just keep paying the handful I subscribe to (BW, Jimmy Macram, Cinebinge, YaBoyRoshi) even when they aren't currently doing a show I may know or have interest in; I think their content is worth supporting and unlike many I have savings enough to do so without starving. No judgment on those who can't or just don't want to, of course! This works for me, is all. Only exception is the Normies, who I subscribe and unsubscribe from frequently because they piss me off often but that's perhaps part of their charm.

First and foremost, I think it’s great you’re supporting the teams of people that bring us all entertainment as well as providing content that you get to react to and we can enjoy. What I’d love to see as a substitute for now is music reactions. Bands/Artists/Songs/Music Videos that you’ve never heard of and possibly suggested by your patrons. Just a thought. Love your content and will continue to support you guys while this all gets worked out. Cheers!
Sorry if this is a dumb question but do anime fall under this whole strike as well. With all the drama going on in the VA community with them ALSO not being paid a good amount then I assume they do as well. And if that's the case that probably means shows that a lof viewers wanna see you guys react to will take longer to arrive. But can someone clear this up for me
No, animes don’t fall under the current strike content category. VAs aren’t paid well, that’s for damn sure. But they’re not currently striking or asking for any sort of action from the community at this point so, anime is clear.

Bring back cooking with Blind Wave and/or game night as an alternative to the lost content until the strike is over. I've missed those two the most. But thanks for the continual updates guys ❤
