Anyway to see this elsewhere? It's blocked by Universal on my end.

I literally watched Upgrade last month and just a few days ago was wondering if this was on a poll cuz I enjoyed this movie but damn y’all just seen it!
I believe when they did the shot for when he’s flipping, they had like an iPhone attached to the actor, which the camera then tracked. From here the camera moved at a perfect pace because it was literally moving with his body. Corridor Crew covered this on their VFX series, which I think was episode 18 or 19
This movie is my favorite! I remember going to the theater with my dad, who hates going to the movies and both of us looked at each other at the end and said.... wow what a great movie !
yes!!
An Upgrade tv series is in the works by the same creator (Leigh Whannell, who also did the recent Invisible Man movie) https://collider.com/upgrade-sequel-tv-show-leigh-whannell/
Urgh a series is gong to ruin it imo
The Corridor Crew on youtube did a breakdown of a lot of the VFX shots (and behind the scenes) in this film, you can find it in episode 18 of their react series, if any of the Blindwave gang are interested.
Someone needs to tell them how they filmed this, I feel like they'd love it. For the fight scenes they actually attached an iPhone to the actor and had a camera track the gyroscope of the phone.
man i wanted Shane to react to this
This is so weird, I finally got around to watching this film a few days ago myself even though I had no idea this reaction was coming up.
I think the reason Stem couldn't defeat Fisk (the nanobot guy) is because Stem is just a smarter brain that could control perfectly the movement of Rey's body, while the nanobots not only are also kind of AI, but they outright enhance the body to do better than what is humanly possible. So in a fight where both combatants have equal skill and can read each other moves, the stronger and faster one would win. I loved how many layers with no answer exist in the movie. For one part we have Stem who is his own faction by himself with Rey's body, then we have the humans that have enhancements in their bodies that consider themselves a different species, and then there is that hacker that totally seemed to be part of some kind of emerging resistance against the other two factions.
I hadn't realised a power ranger was in the movie
I'm sorry but that Calvin is a pokemon comment killed me 😂😂😭😭💀💀
Grey headbutted him to stop the nanobots. Because Stem asked him to do something.
Logan Marshall-Green did a fantastic job. Great actor that's always been under the radar.
Hes my choice for Wolverine
Great that movies are back on the menu, Upgrade is awesome!
Stem reminds me of Ada from Shield
I feel like Aaron just can't get his head around a movie where *SPOILERS* the villain wins more or less outwright, and the hero gets an ambiguous well is this good or bad?. I understand how to some that might not feel satisfactory in traditional film storytelling but for dark sci-fi it's very appropriate and fits in to the themes.
Let's Go!!!
Nice!!! Such an underrated movie. I hope you guys add Snowpiercer to one of these polls. Its absolutely incredible
