I feel the analogy about taking away a kids cookies is incorrect. If you take away a child's cookie the child still has the free will to be upset with you or cry throw a fit. When Allison uses her power it's not that she's taking away the cookie she's taking away her daughter's free will to express her emotions. And its not to benefit the child because she's learning nothing it's because as a parent you don't wanna deal with the problem.
