Yvonne stated she was the one that wanted her real name to be Sam so the writers did just that.

The title of the episode is Chuck vs The Fake Name, and obviously you have Chuck taking on an alias, and Sarah revealing her "real name", but you guys didnt comment on the OTHER name reveal of this episode. Nothing on the obvious set up for a Casey backstory episode.
