You have to know that the Jedi order is influence by a old sith dark temple remain under theri own temple who blind them to the dark side...when they are outside of Coruscant, their sense are more attuned and they see and act more...
I never really agreed with the Jedi being stagnant. I'd say they lacked the experience in dealing with a powerful Sith lord. While initially skeptical, they seemed to take the Sith threat seriously. In Revenge of the Sith the Jedi were suspecting Sidious so they weren't that far behind, despite being distracted by full-scale war. And Windu would have won if Anakin didn't intervene. Jedi Council also helped to keep the peace in the galaxy for a 1000 years so they must have done something right. They definitely did a lot better than the Jedi who followed them. As for attachments, IMO it's not like they aren't allowed to feel compassion and care. I mean it's natural. They are not droids. They just can't let those feelings control them and they need to let go when they need to. Anakin couldn't let go. That's why he turned to the dark side. Atleast that's how I see it.
the novel talks about it as well the jedi had been training to fight the sith as they used to be but in the last thousand years the sith changed completely

great reaction guys! and the way you blockade a planet is like as shane said there are pre existing routes that you need to take in order to go into hyperspace, thats what blockades are protecting when they siege planets in starwars. Also do you think you could consider doing two episodes of this a week because of the massive amount of episodes and your passion for starwars?
I'm sure they have considered doing double the work each week for Clone Wars. But they probably can't do that all the time.
