I don’t think she will die because I can’t imagine this show killing a child off, but she will probably be what brings Reign back from the brink instead of what causes Reign to... reign.

Something will happen to the mother and Alex will raise Ruby

Alex kidnaps the girl to raise as her own, mother becomes villain hunting down Alex.

She will die and it will appear to be the fault of Supergirl and that's how the Mum becomes the arch villain this season.

She will be sent to another earth, and learn how to fight monsters with a gun-scythe!

I think it would be more interesting if she lived, and maybe Reign's motivation for being a villain has to do with protecting her daughter or wanting to make the world a better place for her somehow

The CW is manipulative with deaths and always kills someone on every show each season. Better her than one of our beloved characters. Plus would be a tipping point that could turn the mother evil. (Yes I forget her name as well! 😜)

I don’t believe she will die, but like Fajen said, I don’t think she is real at all, something that priestess made up until reign was ready.

I don't think Ruby is real. I think she's a construct.

I'm changing my mind, two weeks ago I would have in no uncertain terms said she would die. But now, following the story the mother is to follow some sacred trust? I Don't know any more remember the marking's on her face like satan pit & impossible planet from doctor who, it might be the kid who was taken from her ship which is in the bay. And the mother just has a vow to watch over her, maybe the person in the tube-in the ship is a priestess. I Don't know.

Not only will she live I half expect Alex will take her in. I think it would be a cop-out to have Ruby dying triggering Sam turning into Reign, with the vision I don't think they'll be going that way but more with some kind of genetic programming

I don't know anything about Reign, but if she is supposed to be a villain for Supergirl then I think what will probably happen is Supergirl will fail to save Ruby and Reign will blame her for it.

I hope that reign won't be too evil, in the sense that her motives for becoming a villain is justified, like supergirl accidentally kills ruby maybe

I think Supergirl failing to save Ruby will be the tipping point for her to become Reign.

Ruby dying is really messed up because she's just a little girl, but it has to happen for Sofia to fully embrace her Reign persona and become the big bad of the season. I've seen this trope way too much but that's how it is, I guess.

I want her to die, that way Reign can go fully evil and have a good reason too, but they'll probably keep her alive and the little girl would probably bring her mother back to the side of good. (unfortunately)
