Didn't David Tenant Doctor lose a hand during the Christmas Invasion?
I forgot how desperately "mature" this show was trying to be. A handful of good stories up ahead, but I guess I will just be waiting for Season 3.
Watch all episodes of Torchwood Season 1 before you watch episode 11 "Utopia" of Doctor Who in Season 3, it will line up the timelines for you :)
The guy on their editing team should point it out to them, I don't think the crew read the comments to avoid spoilers but if they keep up the current schedular then they'll see utopia the day before the last episode of torchwood

They eventually explain how Jack went from time agent to torchwood, don't worry. In the meantime enjoy the ride, because is waaaay more mature and dramatic than doctor who.

I think this episode was them sticking their flag in the ground. They're a Doctor Who spin-off for an adult audience and they went as far as possible to prove they're not for kids.

You guys are awesome! So glad you're reacting to Torchwood! There are definitely some bad/extremely cheesy episodes but there are also some FREAKING AMAZING moments and episodes. Season 3 in particular is one of the best things I've ever seen on a television show!
