One of the common themes in the show is that Rick and Morty don't just exist for the show. In between episodes they could be having all sorts of adventures ! We, the audience, don't know or see every second of their life. It is especially mentioned in season 3 but they still do it a little bit in the previous seasons.

the green glowing rocks rick throws out at the beginning were the ones he got 2 episodes ago after morty killed fart. they have these purple things on them that are theorized to be the eggs the parasites came from

I love the setup for Mr. Poopybutthole. It felt so obvious he would be a parasite that most people just don’t think anything about it until he gets shot. One of the best dark humor moments of the season for me.
That whole Szechuan sauce event was a disaster! First, they only gave it to select McDonald’s around the country. Second, they only gave each store around 20. And lastly, the people who showed up acted like fucking maniacs. People were calling the cops, cars were getting wrecked, everything was just awful! It was not a proud moment for Rick and Morty fans.
Damn. That is sad to hear. That will probably be the last time something like that happens.

It'll make a little more sense, a *LITTLE*, after you get into season 3.
