The magic was in reference to Aslaug, she is a semi-mythological character similar to Ragnar. Also you know what they call alternative medicine that has been proven to work, medicine. Everything else is just potpourri.

I can't wait for you guys to start S2. Season 1 was great but Season 2 has some of the best stuff from Vikings imo.
