I can see a big issue with the show is the frustration with Danny's perspective. He's this extremely naive kid who didn't grow up in a technological world the viewers have. Which makes his perspective difficult to relate to. Many of his choices come off as stupid and it's frustrating to us watching.
I think another problem is many viewers find Danny to be inconsiderate and flaky. Returning home and trying to get his old life should have won our sympathy, but then we learn he abandoned his responsibilities at Kun Lun even though his job is kind of important. Davos should come across as the jealous douche friend, but more viewers agreed with him than Danny. The finale showed Kun Lun gone, which puts Danny in a bad light.
I feel like he lit up his fist at the end as a declaration of vengeance on whomever destroyed Kun Lun
Ward was also my favorite character. Which I wouldn't have guessed in the first episode. I thought he was just going to be a one note, mustache twirling, "I'm an asshole just because" kind of character. But he actually had a really great arc. And Tom Pelphrey was hands down the best actor on the show.
Related to Kung fu, there is a cool new trailer for "Birth of the Dragon" that would be cool to see u guys react to!
Definitely the weakest show of the Marvel Netflix series but I really enjoyed it. I can't wait for Defenders!
Iron fist is my least favorite of the Marvel Netflix shows but i still liked and enjoyed it for what it was
