2026 Tuscany Workshops Announcement

Hi everyone,

Last year’s workshops were a big success, and I’m pleased to announce that I will be doing it once again in 2026. This May I will be hosting two week-long residential workshops at an incredible location in Tuscany, Italy. The dates are May 10-16, and May 17-23.

This will be a week of total guitar immersion with a particular focus on live performance skills. It promises to be a great way to fast-track your playing and develop your confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment. Each workshop is limited to a maximum of 10 students (partners are also very welcome) so the overall atmosphere is much more personalised than the average workshop or clinic, meaning I’m able to really focus on the individual needs of the students that choose to attend. We’ll be in this together, living and breathing guitar for a week.

Workshop Format

The format is going to be similar to last year. We will be breaking down and performing a broad selection of classic tunes that reflect the stylistic diversity of my channel. So expect a bit of everything - blues, indie, surf, punk and country. (Nearer to the time I will put together a song list so workshop attendees are able to do a bit of listening and preparation.) We’ll also be working with our fantastic Italian rhythm section (Gianluca on drums and Guido on bass) to put together a live set of tunes for a final performance at the end of the week. Yes, we’ll be working hard, but there will also be time for more relaxed jamming, music chat and some one to one sessions with myself.

There’s going to be something for players of all levels of ability, though it’s not a workshop for complete beginners (ideally you will at least want to know your basic open and barre chords, and have a bit of major and minor pentatonic scale knowledge). Otherwise I hope the format of the workshop is going to be flexible enough to accommodate and inspire players with a range of different abilities and musical interests.

You just need to bring an electric guitar with you (though there is also a collection of guitars at the property in case anyone needs one, or is just interested in playing something different.) Amps will be provided, and there are also some acoustic guitars. There’s a dedicated teaching and performance space where we’ll be able to make as much noise as we like, as well as a brand new live venue down at the onsite craft brewery where we’ll be able to put on our final show.

Beautiful countryside, incredible food and drink

Music is obviously going to be our main focus, but there will also be time to relax on the beautiful property, to enjoy the incredible locally sourced food and wine, and perhaps sample a beer or two from the brewery. The workshop is located in the heart of Tuscany’s wine region (closest airports Rome or Florence) at Borgo Poggio Bianco. It’s a stunning property, with plenty of places to visit nearby. If you would like to check the property out here’s a link. https://www.borgopoggiobianco.net

My friend Richard is assisting me with the organisation. He’s massively experienced when it comes to this kind of thing, and is going to take care of all the practical arrangements and ensure everything runs smoothly. (He's also a pretty mean guitar player himself.)

Just let me know if you are interested in becoming one of my ten students. For more information, including costs, or if you have any questions, please send an email to me and Richard at PBworkshops@mail.com

The workshop I was at last year was super fun and a great learning experience, highly recommended. Great food and drink, beautiful setting, making friends and playing guitar with them all day long, learning songs. Having Adrian around to help out wasn’t bad either ;-)

Adrian, these workshops look incredible! Unfortunately we have firm commitments in May of 2026, but my wife is already pushing me to make it happen in 2027. I hope you'll be successful this year and offer repeat workshop opportunities in the future.
