Happy New Year 2024 Everyone!
The new year is upon us and you all know what that means! Pretty much nothing, really XD. We have to put up new calendars and retrain our brains to write/type 2024 instead of 2023 and that's really about it.
As mentioned in my most recent livestream, the P&B is coming along very nicely. There's a few areas that still need some scenery but I'm feeling confident I can probably bang them out fairly quickly if I can stay focused on any one thing for more than 10 minutes. Once the P&B is done I'll probably take a short break from building before beginning work on the next route project, the New York Cross Harbor. I'll get into the details of that when the time gets closer so for now let's focus on what's left to do on the P&B.
Route TO-DO list (in no particular order):
Complete mainline background scenes between Allegheny and Pleasantville JCT
Speed limits
Track conditions
Trackside details like junction boxes, etc
Signals
Sound FX
Environmental settings
TRC configuration
Industry configuration
Base sessions - one with JR P&B assets and one without
Weed out assets marked as payware, etc
I think that pretty much covers what's left. This is the point where it really becomes a slog though. I'll begin thinking I'm much closer to completion than I actually am and encounter a bunch of unforeseen headaches. Either way, we're approaching the homestretch and that's exciting. I'm hoping to have it in a decent state for beta by February or so but we'll see how that all pans out.

Patreon Benefits:
Executive:
The P&B route download will be available after the Monthly Livestream. I figure we're close enough to both I might as well hold off so the most up to date version of the route is available. Download will go up either the 4th or 5th.
**PLEASE NOTE THE ROUTE IS NOW TRAINZ PLUS BUILD 5.4**
Dispatcher: The monthly livestream will be Wednesday the 3rd at 7pm EST. I'll continue working on the P&B depending on what needs to be done.
Project Manager: As previously mentioned, the asset collections for 2024 will begin to slow down a little but it won't be going away . For January I have this sweet New York City style mixed use building with a storefront on the bottom and apartments up top. These buildings are really common all over NYC as well as other major northeast cities. I've included two versions, one with storefront signage and an awning, and another more simplified version without signage. The simplified one can definitely be used more frequently since there's less obvious features. This creator has a few other NYC buildings of this style I'll be porting in this year as well. They require quite a lot of work though which is one reason why this release is just this one asset.
This pack will be available on the 3rd.
Station Agent: Weekly Wednesday hangouts continue as scheduled.
Model Railroader: I painted up one of my locomotives finally so I'll probably write up a little post about that experience.

That's all I got for this newsletter. December flew by with all the holiday stuff so progress on most things was slow overall. I hope you all had a great holiday and have a happy new year!
Thanks for the support in 2023! Let's goooooooo 2024!!!
