December 2022 Newsletter

As we prepare for the holiday season and close out 2022, I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support throughout this year as well as over the past several years. When I began my YouTube channel in 2016 I never dreamed it would be as successful as it has been. Every route I create and every video I release is just as exciting as it was the first time, and you the community, have made that possible. I'm hoping 2023 will be the year I can get back into more regular videos, streams, tutorials and "shorts." Thanks again for making it all possible and I wish you a happy and stress-free holiday season!

December Patreon Benefits:

On offer for Project Manager Tier Patrons this month will be two new skyscraper buildings to populate your city scenes with. These have a pretty generic appearance and should fit comfortably in just about any city scene. Unfortunately the models are pretty high-poly so just make sure to use them sparingly.

Also on offer for Project Managers are "final" P&B RS11 models. These should represent the final release barring any unforeseen bugs and will work in TANE, Trainz 2019 and newer.

Project Manager benefits will be available Saturday December, 3rd.

For Dispatcher Tier Patrons, our monthly live stream will take place Wednesday December 7th at 7 PM EST. I have yet to decide what I’ll be working on, so let me know if you’ve got suggestions for what you’d like to see!

Executive Tier Patrons are in for a treat with the P&B as all of the updates seen in Episode 50 will be included and then some.

Change log includes:

  • Added highway through north Grafton

  • Began work on a historic uptown area to north Grafton

  • Began replacing billboard trees around Grafton

  • Expanded general scenery around Grafton

  • Expanded industrial area on east side of highland

  • Continued expanding industrial area generally around Highland

  • Completed most scenery on Pleasantville Secondary up to Pleasantville Junction

  • Began adding farm scenery from Mt. Union to the viaduct

  • Continued to update billboard trees to ST_RMM and Profig trees along PH II

  • Added a passing track between Highland and Paint Creek Junction (I didn't measure it at all or test this yet so it may need to be lengthened)

  • Updated some scenery along the Paint Creek Branch

  • Willys updates to Ph I (the full Trainz 19 PH I update should be included in the January route update which will also update all the billboard trees along PH I)

As always, there will be a handful of missing dependencies for the P&B but I'm happy to help locate any that are currently publicly available.

Plans for December:

The holidays are usually a pretty busy time for me so this is more of an idealist list of what I'm hoping to accomplish in the month of December and is in no way a guarantee. The name of the game is mostly trying to push the P&B through to completion as soon as possible. 

P&B:

  • Finish scenery between Mt. Union and the Viaduct (farmlands)

  • Continue scenery from Pleasantville Jct. north to Highland (this will probably mostly be forest scenery)

  • Finish updating scenery along Paint Creek

  • Complete the power plant scene south of Pleasantville (probably for Ep 51)

  • Complete the school scene in Pleasantville which would essentially complete the branch (probably also for Ep 51)

N Scale:

  • Finish "short" on pouring my water scene (video is shot and just needs editing)

  • Begin blog write up about the water scene (this will cover things in more detail than the "short." Unlikely to be done in December though)

  • Write up and release blog post introducing my N Scale layout in more detail (also a bit of a longshot here.....)

Other Trainz:

  • Begin work on the NYCH route (very unlikely given what the above list is beginning to look like....)

Patreon:

  • I'll go over my 2023 plans and goals in next months update post as it's probably too exhaustive to get into now.

  • DB&EV for Trainz 2019

That should pretty much cover everything 😯 I'm exhausted just looking at what I just wrote 🥱 Anyway, thank you for your support and your feedback along the way. The P&B wouldn't be shaping up to what it is (or probably at all) without you guys! 😁
