Hope you all have been enjoying your summer! It’s been a little too hot for my liking but I guess I shouldn’t complain. My wife and I closed on our first house in July so it’s been a very busy month moving and getting settled. Let’s talk about the future! Lol
What's New?
As mentioned, the bulk of July was spent moving out of our apartment and storage unit and now we’re working on getting settled into the new space. Since we both work from home this has been an overwhelmingly slow process. But it’s given me some time to think about what the next project(s) could be.
The first project I’m going to be focusing on is creating some sessions for the P&B. A lot of you guys have been asking for sessions or additional content to go with the P&B so that’s what I’ll be focusing on next. I’m hoping to get a pack of about 4 sessions together along with associated content within the coming weeks. The cool thing about the P&B is that there’s almost limitless possibilities when it comes to operating sessions, so you expect more in the future than just the initial 4.
As far as route projects go, I have my eye on possibly expanding the Dry Brook route to the north and south as well as including the H&W module (modernized of course). We’ll see how it all pans out though. I have no shortage of ideas for that route, I just am hesitant to return to an old project at the risk of potentially spoiling it. The DB&EV was always kind of a passion-art project and to me. It feels kind of like returning to a completed painting years later to add more. It could work out really well, or it could ruin the entire thing.
Aside from that, there’s a few other route ideas that have gotten my attention. But I don’t really want to discuss them since that always gets me in trouble lol.
Beyond the virtual world, I recently took a trip to the IRM and met up with some long time discord buddies. It was really awesome to see the ridiculously large roster of equipment the IRM has and it was great meeting everyone who went. 11/10 would do it again 😁
N Scale projects are temporarily on hold since the layout is still not entirely moved into its new home. It thankfully did survive the move with only a damaged tree but I still need to make sure the wiring all held together. I should have a video coming up discussing the move as well as future plans for the layout. Unfortunately, I can’t do much else N Scale wise until I finish building the new workbench and storage space.
I do have another Trainz video I’ve been brainstorming but I haven’t had a shred of time to flesh it out or even begin shooting it. That’ll be a longer term video project but I think you guys will be entertained by it. Also, if you missed it, I released two new tutorial videos covering the S2 bulk replace tool and a new Ten Tips video for Surveyor 2. Check 'em out if you haven’t already. Videos always release early for channel members and Patrons 😉
Patreon Benefits
Overall benefits are still a little slower than usual due to the move but I'm getting back into the groove of things.
The monthly Patreon Livestream will be Wednesday the 13th. I'll be working on a reskinning project for this one.
Weekly Wednesday hangouts continue as usual.
