May 2025 Newsletter
Spring has sprung which usually means there's a route release right around the corner. At least that's how it's gone over the past couple of years.....
I'm happy to say that the Cross Harbor route is just about done! This is perhaps the most detailed and dense route/module I've ever taken on and I think you guys are really going to enjoy exploring it.
Lets' dig in!
News
My goal is to have the Cross Harbor released by early June at the latest but I may have to delay that slightly. The reason being is that a lot of you mentioned the one thing missing from the P&B and some of my other routes were sessions. So I listened and am creating a few sessions to include with the route! If all works out the way I'm envisioning it, there should be 2-3 session included which will help you get acquainted with the route and operations and leave you with plenty of switching duties.
As mentioned, the route is just about done. There's some finishing touches I want to add which I will include in one more build video for you guys. After that, I'll focus on creating the sessions, then the release video, then it'll be in your hands 😎
I also have permission to include the S2's I skinned with the route, which is the reason I'll be able to actually create those sessions. The prototype ran S1's but I think these will work as an excellent stand in 😏.
What Else?
In addition to the Cross Harbor, I've been focusing on adding additional Patreon content which includes additional posts on Trainz Tips and Model Railroad related content. This month, those posts will include one on how to use the current Trainz "bulk replace tool" as well as a model railroad post covering some electrical tips of mine. Eventually I hope to make some of these posts into videos but until then you'll be able to read and enjoy 'em on the go.
I plan to experiment with some more model railroad videos and streams in the future as well (I need to organize my time better 😔). The N Scale Weathering stream I did a few weeks ago seemed to be valuable to many viewers so I'd like to keep that up.
Once the Cross Harbor is out, I usually like to take a little "time off" before diving into whatever the next project will be. We've been discussing some options in the Patreon section of the Discord so make sure to check it out if that's something you're interested in. Otherwise, I know I'll be jumping back on the P&B again to work on bringing it up to HDT standards. Maybe if the Cross Harbor sessions work out, I'll put together a few P&B sessions too.

Patreon Benefits
Executive: Another NYCH update will be available on May 1st followed by additional updates as the route is completed. Sessions will be made available later in the month as they're created as well.
Dispatcher: May is a busy month for me so let's do the monthly livestream on the 7th at 7pm EST. Probably will be working on NYCH sessions
Project Manager: This month you guys will have early access to the NYCH S2's. They should be available in the next couple of days once I fully finish them off.
Model Railroader: Upcoming post covering some electrical items I used on my layout. Might also have a video towards the end of the month.
Weekly Wednesday Hangouts continue as usual! If you're new to the Patreon or Discord, you should definitely check 'em out. Lately I've been hanging out during different times of the week and working on various N Scale projects. Always fun.

That's it for this update. Hope you guys are looking forward to the Cross Harbor as much as I am!
