September 2024 Newsletter
New Found Glory once sang, "September came so quickly, I wasn't prepared...." That was 22 years ago when I was a Junior in high school. And even though I'm so very far removed from that life, those lyrics still ring true and I'll never be ready for the summer to end 😔
But with the end of summer comes the beginning of model train season so I guess I shouldn't complain 😅
What's New?
My first N Scale model railroad video premiered a few weeks ago and I've been delighted by the response! Seems there may actually be a larger audience for videos like that than I was expecting. As mentioned in the video, I have several ideas for videos I'd like to produce on the topic as well as my journey with this "new" layout. That's something I'm super excited for and have been looking forward to getting out there for a while now. The next video I plan to make will cover how I built my custom 3 track car float and we'll paint it as well.
I'm also looking forward to really digging into the NYCH Trainz build. I've been working on it here and there mostly during Patreon hangouts and livestreams so progress has been slow so far. I'm hoping with the cooler months ahead I'll have more indoor free time to really grind it out. My goal is to have it ready for release by Christmas but we'll see how that goes 😂 My ambitions always outpace my ability to actually sit down long enough to get substantial focused work completed.
P&B sales have absolutely gone beyond my expectations and I couldn't be more happy with the feedback and good reviews from everyone who purchased it. The fact it was so well received makes all the years of hard work truly worth it. Eventually I'll get back to working on it and making necessary upgrades to out of date scenes and textures, but for now I'm going to let it simmer on the backburner.

Patreon Benefits:
Executive: The current download for the NYCH route will be available pretty much right after you see this post. If you've been tuning into the streams/hangouts you should have an idea of what's been added, etc.
Dispatcher: The monthly livestream will be Wednesday the 4th at 7pm. I'll be working on the NYCH build unless you guys have something else you'd like to see.
Project Manager: Another new block of NYC style storefronts. These were a PITA to port for some reason but they look awesome in game.
Station Agent: Hangouts continue every Wednesday through the month.
Model Railroader: I'm hoping to film another video this month covering my custom built 3 track car float.
