Lab Rework and Higher Tiers Closing Tomorrow

Hi everyone, Whimfu1 here. As I waited to see any bugs pop up this week, I went ahead and did a whole bunch of sketches of a multitude of scenes. I’m saving some to share later as I’m unsure which will be added to Inc House v0.14a but here are some of the most likely.

As I mentioned in past posts, my plan for v0.14a is to rework the lab and add in a small epilogue storyline. This storyline will center around the tail power and feature Stella and Lisa mostly. Lola drops the bomb that Lincoln is sterile unless he uses magic. This causes him to panic and he  tries to get a sample on his own to check under a microscope. Due to his powers, this proves difficult and Stella gets roped into helping him “finish”. Dr. Lisa Helmandollar catches them but oddly relents when she hears why Lincoln is doing it. Lincoln didn’t cast the Tail Spell to turn him fertile so he needs another sample. You give Leni a key to the lab so she can sneak in to help you finish quickly however she prolongs things and Stella joins again. Lisa is madder this time but is shocked when she sees your sample.

That’s where the story went so far. The next step are these:

After getting caught a second time, Dr. Lisa Helmandollar wants you to provide more samples to examine. As she does not want Stella to debase herself anymore, Lisa agrees to help you gather them. But as you need a large amount of samples, Stella secretly helps you when she’s not looking. This will occur before the ritual and just be regular scenes that you can visit when you go to the lab.

After the ritual and epilogue, you can return to the lab where you’ll learn the reason for Lisa’s curiosity. When Leni enters the lab, pregnant, Lisa is clued in on Lincoln’s supernatural issues. While annoyed by his explanation she begrudgingly accepts it. Lisa will then ask you to meet her wife, Darcy. While upbeat by nature Darcy is depressed because she has been doing IVF for years with no success. If what Lincoln says is true, this will be their last chance to have a child.

So yeah, that’s what the aim of v0.14a and v0.145a will be. Depending how quickly I can draw I may be able to finish the game in those updates.

That said, as we are winding down, I will be taking a moment this weekend to close the top two tiers of support. I will really be focusing on drawing for the game and I don’t feel right keeping them open when the main draw to them were the NPC brackets. I don’t know what will happen once I close them but make sure to download the current demo if you haven’t yet. I know some people might not rejoin but I want to make sure you get your reward beforehand. I will be doing that housekeeping tomorrow afternoon.
