A book of Backdrops
In between laying out the text and art I have here for "inspired by Middle-earth" posts, I'm thinking of making a book of my miniature backdrops. A bunch of folks have mentioned to me lately that they'd like to use the backdrops, but dont have access to a printer, or that they don't feel confident in home printing.
My solution is a wire bound book of nice thick pages, containing 24 backdrops professionally printed. With the wire binding they can be flipped to be absolutely flat, and then stood up behind your minis for photography.
I've created and ordered a prototype at A4 size - I think that's probably the most practical size for both sending them out and storing it at home.
If this seems like something people might find useful (and so far a bunch of folks have expressed that they like the idea) I might run a little quick starter - perhaps a week long campaign on Kickstarter to fund a small print run. I don't imagine it'd go berserk, but of course I'd be happy to add some extra pages if it did well.
What do you think? If you're someone who would make use of miniature backdrops?

I would like to exchange money for a copy of this lovely book. Thank you.
I don't know if it's something that could be tackled with this, but it should be mentioned; one of the finer challenges of miniature background use is the matching of the ground with the background. IF each facing page was designed to match the background art, that would make for a particularly unique asset.
I’d back it on kickstarter!
Great idea! Also having them in a book protects them and is a neat storage solution.
