Stream Recap + Summary
So this was our first stream since Nov 2024. We had a lot of fun, and the picture SR7 did was awesome! Here is a slight summary of the topics covered, and our answers.
Why BoB2?: Really it boils down to art transition, and getting it done and out of the way. Going from the high quality art of PE to SU is a challenge, and this will allow us to move over easier. Additionally the lay out and structure of BoB2 has been iterated a lot. So time to get it out, and put it behind us.
What about smaller updates for SU content? We're very open to this, and find it's a good idea.
Ren'py remake progress? Henshin is working on capturing, a bulk of the images have been converted already. There was a hard cut off where either SR7 or Henishin used a different resolution. So we were pleasantly surprised that we didn't need to convert all the images. However the work load is massive. Ever picture needs to replaced, scaled, and positioned, that goes for facial expressions as well.
When will SU get an update? Were not making long road maps anymore that just lead to burnout later in the year. You will hear the direction when we decide it. We hear you all, and want to get back to SU as well.
What went wrong with the PE update? SR7 wanted a choose your own adventure, that had powers, and experience. He sought out to make a custom system, kept iterating, and kept running into bottlenecks. In the end he wasted 1.5 months working on this which didn't get delivered. It's not time wasted for us, lots of learning happened, but we can't deliver learning to you.

Come on be reasonable let's leave gunsmoke to cook with both you can't add Marvel to DC that doesn't make sense they separate and PE is a good game if gunsmoke puts more work into it SU has so much content already give another a chance to develop we all love SU but like let gunsmoke cook

hey guys, i'm new here, I don't know what is the story with BOB2, bum i'm BEGGING you to return it. I luv this game so much and the quality is amazing, please think about this again. it's has a special room in my heart!!
I don't get why art for su has to be dumbed down. Why not apply project evolution's style to su? If visual inconsistency is a concern, perhaps a brief narrative event, like a Flashpoint, could help bridge the gap. Regarding development pacing, if coding is the primary bottleneck, is it possible to reallocate resources? For instance, the story and promotional teasers seem to be written by AI. Perhaps some budget or focus could be shifted toward bringing on additional coding support so the burden doesn't fall entirely on Sunset for months at a time. Also, personally I have no interest in bend or break and would prefer project evolution

Thank you for talking to us. The PE update was good, and the longer interval between updates resulted in more content. Regarding the attempt to add options to PE, it wasn't a bad idea (you wanted to try something new), but I recommend abandoning it, as adding multiple options to games is a lot of work and doesn't suit Sun. We like the stories that Sun (and his friends) create; adding multiple options leaves the main character (MC) and other characters without essence. Furthermore, it creates frustrating paths for players, such as those who couldn't obtain all the game's photos. I prefer the game to follow a coherent narrative and focus on the use of our powers. Take, for example, the scenes in the bedrooms, Kitty's mission, and Logan's training. Instead of progressing through the scenes just by visiting the girls in their rooms, as happens in "SU," we would have to gradually gain their trust by completing personal missions. In Kitty's room, to advance to the striptease scene, we need to complete the mission of deleting Lance's photos. To delete the photos from Lance's phone, we need to level up (Logan's training) to improve our Invisibility power and thus destroy his phone without him noticing. We can use the Frog to track us by scent if our level isn't high enough. When talking to Lance, we'll buy the photos to lower his guard. The next time we click on him, we'll use our Invisibility powers to follow him. In a moment of distraction, we'll destroy his phone, making him believe it was an accident. When talking to Kitty, we explain how we solved the problem; she might find it too extreme, so we show her the photos, making her angry at Lance for realizing he was selling her pictures. We unlock the striptease and masturbation scene; the oral sex scene will be unlocked after completing another mission for her. Since the game is still in development, implement the narrative (the story) you want to follow, taking into account the community's ideas. If the community doesn't (really) like something in the game or the narrative, you can change it.

Yeah, I’m just not excited for Bender break at all. I just wish you would do more with SU and just fold PE into SU. It’s just SU is so fun. There’s still more to explore.
Exactly what im saying. SU has the perfect setup for you to just add marvel characters. Its a more fun game anyways because of the whole premise
It's great that you want to make high quality art. That's why we are here. It would just be nice if we could see it. I know we won't see anything from PE that's not in game, but we waited 5 months for nothing. We want to see stuff, not just hear about it. Show us that your words have meaning behind them. Until then It's sadly just empty words again. I really hope that BoB2 is great and that nothing goes wrong this time.
Those learnings are definitely important even if you have nothing to show for it. Knowing what NOT to do is just as key as knowing what to do. To me as long as you guys put aside some time for those smaller updates for SU mentioned, even if it's a character or two at a time, you guys can take all the time you need to get BoB2 and PE right :D
They can take all the time they need, but I just wanna be kept in the loop. I hate when people announce a project, give it a timeslate, and then for no good reason other than to piss me off apparently, have radio silence turned on even after the times late has been passed
But how’s the actual development of BoB2 going? I won’t ask for a date but should we expect another long cycle for this game? Also about that art transition it sounds like it will always be a problem everytime you guys want to jump back to SU, is it really that bad?
