Legendary Artifacts
These dormant artifacts will grow in power with the player and are very powerful items! General advancement is to awaken an artifact by some feat of strength or backstory tie in between level 10-15 and exalt between levels 16-20. Inspired by the Tal'dorei Campaign setting.
An elite class of knights, the Dragoon were once an order trained specifically to fight the behemoths of the Titanic Expanse. Using an aerial combat style, the Dragoon gain momentum to pierce the scaled hides as they descend from above upon their enemy.
While the order was still prominent, a Dragoon would earn their weapon of choice while accompanied by a mentor. After defeating a worthy creature of great size, the initiate would harvest its remains to be fashioned into a lance, pike or spear. Since the Dragoon Knights have fallen to history, remnants of their legendary weapons remain and contain the lingering essence of their creator.
