Pyre Soul | Creature Stat Block

Today's 5E stat block is the Pyre Soul! A creature designed to slow characters before exploding in fiery death. Click here to learn more about the Hearth Keepers and the deity Asanna.

When Hearth Keepers, followers of Asanna the Kindled, meet a violent end away from the warming light of their god, they can be led astray from entering the afterlife. Caught eternally reliving the moments that took their life causes their soul to erupt in flame, so they may spread their misery.

This cruel fate is the opposite of spreading joy by the hearth, one of their deity's tenet of faith.
