The Extinguished | Creature Stat Block

Today's 5E stat block is the Extinguished, a once proud Lantern Priest forced to suffer for following the light. To learn more about the Death Kneel Priests, check out Edictor, Toll of Light's End.

In a fate worse than death, Death Kneel Priests prevent the souls of recently deceased Lantern Priests from entering the afterlife. Instead, their lantern that once shone brightly through the darkness becomes a tomb. As the Lantern Priest rises as a ghost, their unliving lantern shines brightly with undeath, preventing the Lantern Priest from entering the Above and driving them to madness.
