Adventure Hook #11 | Sword in the Oak

While traveling off the road in an overgrown forest, the adventurers see a sword embedded deep in a massive tree, 10 feet above the ground. If the sword is pulled from the tree, runic carvings run the length of the blade and flash a cerulean hue as each rune is revealed from the sword’s extraction.

Thanks to the sword’s removal, the tree begins to move, revealing itself as a Treant forced into hibernation. The Treant thanks the group for freeing him, blames a nearby Human logging camp, and immediately marches in the camp’s direction seeking revenge.
