The Visage of the Hollow Harvest is an ornate helm built around a preserved pumpkin that defies decay. When worn, candlelight dances within its hollow eyes and carved grin, leaving the wearer’s face veiled in shadow. The pumpkin never softens, rots, or loses its shape, and the flame within burns without consuming the helm.
According to old harvest tales, the helm belonged to an executioner who returned each Halloween to punish those who dared to mock the dead. Villagers claimed his lantern-like face could be seen moving through distant fields long after midnight, its glow brightening whenever he found someone deserving of attention. The executioner eventually vanished, but the Visage remained, carrying a fragment of the fear that once followed him from settlement to settlement.
