Hexhorns are fiendish goats that appear wherever old curses and hex magic have taken root. Their dark coats swallow torchlight, and their demonic eyes blaze brighter whenever something piques their interest. They have an uncanny knack for reaching places no ordinary goat should, often appearing atop a roof or a ruined wall, simply staring down at whoever notices them first. Few people consider the encounter a good sign.
As familiars, Hexhorns favor spellcasters with a taste for mischief or forbidden magic. They rarely rush into danger, preferring to linger nearby until an opportunity presents itself. When that moment comes, a Hexhorn might unleash a spiteful bleat or turn a promising attack into sudden misfortune. Afterward, it tends to resume watching as though none of it had anything to do with the chaos.

Variant: Hexhorn Familiar

Hexhorns can serve as a Find Familiar option for Warlocks with Pact of the Chain. Hexhorns can also be used as a Find Familiar at the Dungeon Master's discretion.
