Legendary Artifact. These dormant artifacts will grow in power with the player and are very powerful items! General advancement is to awaken an artifact by some feat of strength or backstory tie in between level 10-15 and exalt between levels 16-20.

This slender rapier is forged from pale steel threaded with a faint green vein that glows like empowered sap beneath bark. Its hilt is wrapped in dark, living roots that curl around the wielder’s grip, tightening just enough to feel a pulse. Along the blade, tiny thorned nodes line the edge, each one slick with a translucent toxin. The Rootsting Rapier was once carried by the legend known only as Thorne, an assassin who believed a clean kill was a failure of imagination. Each strike of his blade was meant to linger, to tighten, and to deny escape.
